Back in the bu$ine$$ !!!

MLB 2017 season just finished its first month, so time to get back to analising and betting on baseball.

Interesting 30 days, till now, so let’s have a look at the standings:

American League:

East W L PCT GB
NY Yankees 17 9 0.654
Baltimore 16 10 0.615 1
Boston 15 12 0.556 2.5
Tampa Bay 14 15 0.483 4.5
Toronto 9 19 0.321 9
Central W L PCT GB
Minnesota 14 11 0.56
Cleveland 15 12 0.556
Chi White Sox 14 12 0.538 0.5
Detroit 14 13 0.519 1
Kansas City 9 17 0.346 5.5
West W L PCT GB
Houston 19 9 0.679
LA Angels 15 14 0.517 4.5
Seattle 12 16 0.429 7
Oakland 11 16 0.407 7.5
Texas 11 17 0.393 8

Some very big surprises in here. Yankees young team has a very good record with 17 wins and 9 losses, but can they hold on to the lead as the season progresses ? Without Edwin Encarnacion, gone, and Troy Tulowitzki and Josh Donaldson most of the days injured, the Blue Jays have an awful start, and they are the worst team in the American League.

The biggest surprise in the Central Division is Kansas City, who are the last and very far from the 4th place, after winning the All Series 2 years ago. They lost tragically, Yordano Ventura, but it’s the batting that is the main problem. They are last in the whole league when it comes to RBI, only 71 scored in 26 games, 19 less than the A’s, who are 29th in scoring. Dreadful.

Finally, in the West, the Astros are dominating without any doubt. One of the best rotations, and also very efficient batting. We could see them having one of the best records in their history, if they continue to keep the good shape.

National League:

East W L PCT GB
Washington 18 9 0.667
Miami 12 14 0.462 5.5
Philadelphia 12 14 0.462 5.5
NY Mets 12 15 0.444 6
Atlanta 11 15 0.423 6.5
Central W L PCT GB
Chi Cubs 15 12 0.556
Milwaukee 14 14 0.5 1.5
St. Louis 13 13 0.5 1.5
Cincinnati 13 14 0.481 2
Pittsburgh 12 15 0.444 3
West W L PCT GB
Colorado 17 11 0.607
Arizona 17 12 0.586 0.5
LA Dodgers 15 14 0.517 2.5
San Diego 12 17 0.414 5.5
San Francisco 11 18 0.379 6.5

In the NL, things tend to be the same like in 2016, when it comes to the Eastern and Central Divisions, with the Nationals, dominating and the Cubs leading, but when we check the West, we start to be amazed. Giants, who have, basically, one of the best pitching rotations, are the last, and till now the worst of all teams in the conference. And if things weren’t bad enough, their star, and certainly the best atbat SP in the world right now, Madison Bumgarner got injured, and we’ll be back after the ASG.  There may come even darker clouds over the AT & T. At the top, right now we can find the Rockies and the D-backs who have pleasured us with many RBIs already. Will they continue their good play ? We’ll just have to wait.

That’s all for the 1st month. you can vote below who is the most surprising team in the first month, but right now let’s get down to analysing what matches we can bet daily.
